Caring For Your Wood Flooring

As a natural wood surface, some maintenance and general upkeep is required to keep up it’s stunning appearance.

Protection – because wood is a natural product, it is possible that it can dent or scratch. You should support heavy items of furniture with wide bearing non staining glides or casters. If you do need to move furniture, we recommend sliding it on a piece of carpet (turned upside down) to prevent damage to your flooring.

Cleaning – you should not wax the floor, use conditioner, acrylic waxes or ammonia based cleaners. It is also important to refrain from using soap or vinegar on your wood flooring as you might with carpets. You should vacuum or sweep your floors daily to prevent grit from scratching or dulling its surface.
